Forever Loved ~ Forever Missed
September 2004-September 2020
Juliet Christina was born in September 2004, and from her earliest days faced extraordinary medical challenges due to a rare condition, Mitochondrial Disease, which led to countless hospitalizations and lifelong complex care. Despite being nonverbal and living with severe hypotonia, feeding and digestive failure, frequent infections, and multiple serious medical conditions, Juliet was defined not by her illness but by her joy, resilience, and deep love for people—especially children, books, and time spent with her family at the lake and in the Poconos, her "happy place". Juliet's radiant smile, infectious laughter, and playful spirit filled every room and touched everyone who cared for her, from devoted family members to the many nurses, therapists, teachers, and doctors who supported her, including a beloved physician who guided her care for over a decade. Even through years of fragility and stress on her body, Juliet embodied courage and grace, teaching those around her profound lessons about love and perseverance. After a peaceful time at home on hospice, Juliet passed away from complications of her disease in September 2020, cradled in the arms of her loving parents, leaving behind a legacy of light, strength, and immeasurable love. We miss her every single day.
